Hypermean is the website for me, Daniel Cooke. I am also an internet content, technology management and digital creativity consultant. My first jobs were practical business experiences at a skatepark and various agribusinesses in the San Joaquin Valley town. During college I worked with the campus cultural center to help bring internationally acclaimed music, speakers and film to the university and the community. After obtaining two bachelor degrees I worked in the Los Angeles media & entertainment industry by assisting at the USC School of Cinema and Television with filmmakers & professors on their projects. Moving to San Francisco in 1988 I continued my pursuit of technology and the arts by managing technical logistics for conventions and trade shows while at the same time contracting to LucasFilm. I also worked with the San Francisco Film Festival and the Mill Valley Film Festival. In 1993 I began my career in the Silicon Valley, working for SuperMac/Radius of Sunnyvale and two years later started at Wind River Systems in Alameda, where I grew a non-existent call center into a world class division of the company's sales department. At Wind River my position of Corporate Service Operations Manager helped steer the almost 4,000 person company to more than 100 million dollars in annnual revenue. After a short stint at Peoplesoft (right before the aquisition by Oracle), our family moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where we now reside. Along with my own consulting at Hypermean, I also completed a full time position as Assistant to the Creative Director/President of La Puerta Originals and just finished as the registrar at LewAllen Contemporary Gallery. |
